My First Haircut

Oh Wow was my hair getting bushy and long! Finally Mommy decided to get me a haircut. This all went down on Tuesday January 19th at 10:00am. I was such a big boy. Micah had a booster seat for me to sit in and then she put an apron thing around my neck...it had penguins all over it! I sat up tall in the booster seat and I sat still while she was cutting my hair. Mommy and Daddy were so proud of me. I love being a big boy!

I am the cutest 1 year old ever!

I think I probably made a pretty good mess. I had to take a bath in order to get all the cake and icing out of my rolls. I had so much fun stuffing the cake in my face. Daddy has been telling me about this day, and my goodness was he right; This was FUN!

Thanks to all my family and friends for sharing this fun time with me.

I am now the BIG ONE! I guess that means I am ONE big boy now!

My First Christmas was so much fun, Happy Birthday Jesus.

I got to see all my family and catch up! We spent Christmas Eve with MaMoo and PaPaw, Grandma Nona, Hank, Hannah, Josh, Julie & Abi!

We had lots of good food (Yummy :p), good fellowship and good play time.

On Christmas Day Mommy, Daddy and I spent the day at home. We spent some good time together and opened up a couple of gifts from Santa Clause. On New Years Day we spent the day with Granny (I Love You), Grandmother, Josh, Julie, Abi, Jason, Tracy, Kaylee, Colten, and Cambree! We had a Great day! Started with cinnamon rolls from Barb, then gift giving time, next was some good food for lunch and then games, games, and more games. Even though I was fighting teeth problems and slept most of the day, when I was awake I was having fun :)

I am just so Excited! (and a little cross-eyed)

Thanks for the help Abi, I didn't quite understand the entire point of putting toys in a box and making me work for them.

Learning to Walk

It was November 12th 2009 when I took my first steps. I took 3 steps all by myself! Yippee :)

Of course I started out pretty wobbly and yes you had to bribe me to take steps, but I was doing it. I finally figured out that I could move just as fast walking as I could crawling. Actually, I figured out that I could get into so many more things if I am walking all over the place. It only took about 2 weeks and I was moving and grooving.

I can sleep in many different positions, but you put me in my crib and no sleepy time for me! I don't really know why I do this, maybe I just like to be difficult :)

August and September was full of me getting better and better at crawling and standing. I am so close to walking, but just not ready yet! These two months were full of lots of changes with our family. Daddy and Mommy have decided to follow the Lord and go out on their own to open a Chiropractic Office. We were running an office for another doc in town, but their is no more ignoring the fact that we are suppose to be working for the Lord and going out on our own to serve the community of Amarillo and surrounding areas. Please keep us in your prayers as we are going through the process of getting approved for a business loan and finding the perfect place for our new office, Vitality Chiropractic! Praise the Lord!

During this time I have also come very familiar with teeth. I went from not having any teeth to having 6 teeth! The bottom middle two came in first and then all four top teeth decided to come in at once! I have learned many new tricks. I have lots of fun sounds that come out of my mouth. I can say DaDa, MaMa, Bye Bye, Na Na, and just the other day Mom and Dad believe that I said Ball! Maybe I did and maybe I didn't? I can clap my hands and wave bye bye!

Mom did not do a very good job, there are not really any pictures during these months :(

I'm Back!!

Oh my, Oh my! It has been a long time and I want to personally apologize for my Mom. She said she was going to do better keeping everyone updated, but you can see that it has been 3 months since the last post. SO SORRY!!

Well, it has been 3 months and I am growing to be such a BIG Boy! So I guess I should start where we left off!

To begin, I got the hang of crawling very fast. The last post we did was just before the 4th of July and I was getting up on all fours, but it only took the weekend and man was I moving along. I started crawling and ever since I have been non stop! I can explore like never before. We celebrated Mom's birthday on July 4th in Hartley. Both

families got together and we had a big shindig; it was so much fun we played all day outside in the backyard.

My favorite place was the trampoline. We need one of those things at our house!

It was not too long after I started crawling did I decide to start pulling up on things and standing! Mom has her hands full now because I am in everything; and I tell you I am a speed crawler!

Almost there...I am on my way to the feet, standing! But, as long as you are there waiting for me to do it; too bad! I will stand as soon as you turn that camera off!

There is something about hard floors, I don't like my knees touching!

At the end of July we took our first family vacation. We

started by going to Boulder, Colorado with Uncle Jason and Aunt Tracy. This was the first Promise Keepers to ever invite the wives! It was a fun trip.

My first time in the Pool! The water was extremely cold so I did not get to stay in very long, but I know if I had the chance I would love the swimming pool!

There was a Starbucks on the way to Folsom Field so we just had to stop everyday; Mom and Aunt Tracy had to get their fix!!

Promise Keepers was at Folsom Field and on Friday night it was cold! Friday night was cut short because it started to rain, thunder and lightening.

We were in Boulder for the weekend and then for the next week we went to Red River. Mom and Dad say this is their favorite place! I would have to agree, we had so much fun! MaMaw, PaPaw, Hank and Hannah were there camping out and then Granny, Uncle Josh, Aunt Julie and Abigayle came for the following weekend! During the week we just hung out and did not much at all. Relax, Relax and Relax was all we did. We went to the camp site to see MaMaw and PaPaw, Hank and Hannah everyday! Mom and Dad saved walking the town until Granny and Aunt Julie got there. We know Granny loves to walk the town so we wanted to wait and share that fun time with her!

On the Move

Look at me go!! I am so ready to be on the move even more. I am ready for some extra excitement with all of the rolling around. I think it is time to move around some other way. I roll all over the place to get where and what I want. I can do some push ups and I am getting extremely good at them. Since Mom took these pictures I am getting even better. I am not fully crawling yet, but I am so very close. I can get up on my knees and rock back and forth, but for some reason I am moving in a backwards motion instead of a forwards motion. I will get it figured out pretty quickly I just know it!

I have been having some trouble with my teeth lately. They are bothering me and I just want to chew and chew, but I don't want to chew on any of the toys that Mom and Dad have bought for chewing. So last week Mom decided to let me try a spoon, and oh my goodness did I love to chew on this. This is my new favorite toy to chew on. And by the way I have no evidence of these crazy things that are suppose to be making their way through my gums. I can't wait for them to come in!!

Well, hello everyone. Mom has been a little behind this past month. Not very many pictures. We have had a very busy month. Dad was gone most of the weekends and when Dad is out of town Mom and I go out of town to visit everyone. But, once again she forgot the camera and does not have any pictures to share. Mom and I have had a serious talk and she is going to do better this month. We went to visit Granny, went and stayed with Grandmother, and we went to see MaMaw and PaPaw. We also had a slumber party with Aunt Tami one weekend. We had so much fun with everyone! One of the weekends when Dad was gone he went to Phoenix to move Aunt Julie, Uncle Josh and Cousin Abigayle home for good. Uncle Josh served in the Air Force for 6 years and his time is up and they are back in Amarillo for good. We have had so much fun with them since they have been home. Okay so in the last month I have really started to move around and I am really starting to talk a lot. There are still no teeth, but they must be close because I am drooling soooooooooooooooo much!!! You saw in the earlier post in the month that I have started to say DaDa, but now I recognize who DaDa is and I now say it to him! I am not crawling yet, but I am very close. I sit up extra tall and play with all my toys in the floor. I try really hard to get from laying down to the sitting up position. I try really hard to get my knees up underneath this chubby body of mine. I am just so close to crawling around; so Mom just wait in a couple of weeks you know I am going to be on the move and into everything!! Mom will have an update on my weight and length next week.

Saying DaDa

You know I have been very fascinated by my tongue lately. I can do all kinds of tricks with it. I think I have to study everything by licking it with my tongue first. Anything I pick up or hold goes straight to the mouth so I can identify what it actually is.

Today I was making my usual noises, but while making my noises I started to move my tongue too and when you do those two things together sounds are made. So today, I said "DaDa" for the first time! :)

Dad left for Dallas today and me and Mom stayed behind because we knew he was going to be very busy learning lots of new information about chiropractic. He is getting some continuing education hours and just gaining more knowledge this weekend. I am really going to miss him this weekend. Dad had been gone for about 10 minutes and since I usually spend most of the time with Dad in the evening I wanted my Daddy but, he was nowhere to be found. I tried yelling his name, "DaDaDaDa DaDaDaDaDa" I kept yelling for him, but then Mom explained to me that he was gone for a couple of days, but we could call him. We dialed his number and I called out his name, "DaDa" as he picked up the phone. So, yes, Dad got to hear me say DaDa even though he was not here with me and Mom at the house.

5 Months Old

I am 5 months old today! Every month I can't believe how much more I learn and how much more I grow. We have so much fun together; we laugh and play all the time. Mom and Dad tell me stories, sing me songs, teach me new tricks, tell me they love me and pray with me everyday. At 5 months I weigh 17lbs 8.4oz and measure 28inches long - I am officially a very healthy baby boy!

Off to Granny's house we go for Memorial Day. It was a beautiful day so we had a cook out and played outside. I love being outside.

I can sit up tall and play all by myself too. It was just about a week and a half ago when I started learning to sit up and I have already learned to do it!!

Road Trip to Albuquerque

Here we are off to Albuquerque for Uncle Brooks and Ashley's wedding. I just love road trips.

We made it to our Hotel and we are just taking a little break before heading to the rehearsal and dinner.

It is Saturday May 23rd and Brooks and Ashley are getting married this afternoon at 3:00pm. Here is Dad and Uncle Hank getting dressed for the wedding. Hank is the best man and dad is a groomsman. These two are also singing a song. I can't wait to here them sing together. I just know it is going to be GREAT! Oh by the way, Dad is so excited...he gets to wear suspenders. I decided to roll over today. Here I am playing in my crib on my tummy and I wanted to be on back so I could see my mobile. I remembered all those times Mom wanted me and would help me to roll over, and I decided here I go I will do it all by myself. First I am on my tummy and then my back and then again on my tummy. How fun is this! I am on the move!

Learning to Sit Up!

On Monday, May 11th Dad was sitting me on the front desk at work and he let go and guess what; I sat up tall all by myself. So, now Mom has decided to go ahead and let me learn to sit up. I am not quite strong enough to sit up tall without a little bit of help yet, but I can sit, lean over and keep my balance for a long time! I love to be up and looking around. There is so much more to see! I am still working on rolling over. I completely have the capabilities of rolling over I just don't want to do it! I think I will pick the order of learning to do things instead of Mom picking for me. Love You Mom :)

Look at this thing in my mouth! My tongue is the coolest thing ever. It is a pretty fun thing to play with. I can do so many tricks with this thing in my mouth. Since I don't have any teeth to show Mom when she tells me to smile for the camera I will just show her my tongue.

Here we are Me and Mom. Mom decided she better get some laundry done so we would have something to wear. She gets a little behind sometimes! I didn't want to be playing in the floor by myself so Mom decided to let me help with the laundry. I do a pretty good job with not letting the laundry fall out of the basket and I think the extra wrinkles that I put in the clothes are a good look!

I can't believe it, I am growing so fast!! I am 4 months old today and I am loving Life! My parents (of course), my grandparents, my aunts and uncles, and all my friends are GREAT!! I have met a lot of people and I just can't get enough! I love them all. I weighed in at 16lbs 5.4 oz. and 25 1/2 inches long. Mom and Dad tell me I am a healthy baby boy!

Rolling Over

Life has been crazy at my house. Business is stepping up and it sure keeps Mommy and Daddy busy. But, guess what?? I can roll over now! Yippee! But, I only want to do it when Mommy or Daddy helps me just a little bit. It makes it so much easier if they will put their hand on the bottom of my foot so I have something to push off on. I love to lay on my tummy and play; before I did not want to be on my tummy and I promised Mommy I would just roll over if she put me there. Now that I have had more time on my tummy its not so bad and I don't want to roll over. I guess I am just going to do things in my own timing. No worries Mom; you know I can roll over by myself you have seen me do it!!

Here I am laying in the floor minding my own business. The thing I am laying on has lots of cool things to play with on each flower petal. I managed to remove the mirror from one petal and it ended up on the palm tree leaves. The leaves make a crinkle sound so like to play with them and bring them up to my face so I can chew on them. This time the mirror was there and I was not expecting to see myself. But, hello Hodge there I was! I played peek-a-boo with myself a few times and then I decided to try and eat myself or give myself a kiss; not really sure what I am doing in this next picture! :)

Trip to Dallas

I went on my first road trip over the Easter weekend. I got to finally meet "uncle Kyle"! He is home from Mexico and on his way back home to his family in Nebraska. Hopefully soon I will get to meet "Aunt Emily" and "Cousin Kaiden"!

I can't believe it; Mom left her camera at home! She was pretty upset. We did not get to take very many pictures; thank goodness we had the phones. Now the pictures Mom took with her phone she cannot figure out how to get them off her phone! There were more pictures on Dad's phone, but I guess Dad deleted them... they sure are not on his phone anymore! Oh Well, it is okay Mom! We do have 1 picture, yippie!!!!

We visited IBC on Easter sunday, which is the church we went to while living in Dallas. It was good to see the place we went on Sundays while I was in Mommy's tummy! I finally got to wear my Easter outfit for something other than just pictures. Since we don't have a picture of Easter morning I will tell you my outfit was the same one as my 3 month pictures. I looked CUTE! We did some shopping, ate at PF Changs (Mom and Dads favorite restaurant), had italian ice cream (I hear it is the best), and did a lot of lounging in the hotel room! It was good to get away from the everyday life for a little bit and start fresh this week!

Look at my new chair! Dad & Mom got me this chair so I can sit right next to Mommy on the desk while she works. I feel like a big boy in my new bright green bumbo chair! I have my own little corner at the office with a crib and bouncer chair, but there are times when I get a little bit bored out of my mind when all I can see is the back of Mom's head. She does a good job keeping me company, but now that I have my new chair I can be right in the middle of all her business and maybe sometime I will be able to help out with all the work.

I always thought Mom and Dad we crazy people making those funny faces and moving their lips really fast. I decided I would try what they were doing and my goodness it is FUN! Mom and Dad don't have drool or bubbles that come out of their mouth, but I sure do. I can't help it though because there is so much of that darn drool in my mouth...it has to go somewhere! Now Mom, Dad, and I play mouth games a lot. They will blow and make a funny sound and then I will do it back! I am so glad I decided to be crazy like my cool parents!!

Tummy Time

I have finally decided that I will make Mommy happy and have fun on my tummy. I now will lay on my tummy, hold my head up high and play with my toys. I guess Mom was right, it is pretty fun. Maybe if I lay on my tummy more often I finally grow some hair on the back of my head. I am getting lots of hair on top (it sticks straight up), but I have a bald spot on the back of my head wear I love to rub my head back and forth on the car seat when I am trying not to fall asleep. I just don't want to miss anything so I think if I rub my head back and forth in a NO motion it will help me not to fall asleep. Most of the time I fall asleep anyways.

3 Months Old

I am another month old and guess what, we had to do another photo shoot. Mom has been talking about this for an entire week. Every day she would tell me we are one day closer to being another month older and one day closer to another fun photo shoot. This morning while we were stuck in the house due to the snow Mom got the camera out and here we go! (She tries to be a professional, but I think she still needs some practice....

I am talking all the time and drooling alot! I make a lot of funny faces too! I love to chew on my tongue now a days. I am pretty sure my tongue is the coolest thing ever!! I have always been good at holding up my head, but I can do it now with absolutely no wobbling. I can stand up with just a little bit of help and I like to sit up and look all around. My favorite thing to do now is sit or stand in Mom or Dad's lap and soak it all up. Life is pretty fun, it is exciting to study all of my surroundings! I make Mommy and Daddy laugh all the time!

We went to a Randy Travis concert at Trinity Fellowship Church last night. I enjoyed myself. All those lights were soooo cool, there were so many different colors. Oh yeah, Randy Travis was pretty cool himself. Mom and Dad took turns holding me, and I sat in their laps like a big boy. I had lots of fun!

Oh tummy time, what can I say? Mommy thinks I need to lay on my tummy, but I really just don't want to yet. I promise Mommy I will, but not yet. Ok? Well, I guess it is really not that bad, I just don't like to stay there very long. So, watch out Mom I will just roll over onto my back before you know it. And then I don't have to stay on my tummy if I don't want to. :) :)

Fun Times

I have a couple of fun things to do now a days, but when Mom and Dad pull out that camera I guess I just don't want to show how silly I really get. First of all I love to lay in my crib and watch those animals go in circles right above me. I just lay there kicking my legs, smiling, and laughing. The music that plays is awesome! My other fun thing to do is watch Mom and Dad do this funny sound with their mouth and lips. I just laugh and smile and talk when they do this; actually the funniest thing is looking at Mom and Dad. They are crazy and they look pretty darn funny, I just can't keep from smiling. Now remember, multiply my laugh by 10 and that is how happy I get when the camera is off!

Huntin' Outfit

I am finally big enough to wear my Camo! This is my huntin' outfit!! I am growing pretty fast, this is a 3-6month shirt and it fits pretty good. Daddy says that Camo is going to be my favorite thing. He wears Camo alot and he says I should too. I am getting pretty good at this picture thing, the smile just comes when Mom pulls out that camera.

Oh Yeah, last night I slept in my crib and went 8 hours without eating! I ate at 8:30pm went to bed at 10:30pm and woke up at 4:30am because I was waaaaay too hungry to go any longer.

I also figured out that I can grab ahold of those toys on my car seat. Mom and I named my colorful toy bees while being bored in Best Buy one day. I have BumbleBee in the middle, BumbleAnn on the left, and BumbleLee on the right. I found out today that if I grab ahold of BumbleLee I can pull it closer and play. I also found out my arms are not quite long enough to grab onto BumbleBee, but I am sure it won't be long.

It is official Gunney is Doctor. His Chiropractic License came in the mail on Monday, March 2nd. We will be opening Advantage Chiropractic on March 16th. We are so excited and very blessed! Gunney and I are very ready to start a career where we can change lives and help people achieve optimal health! 2 Months

I am 2 months old today! The time is going by pretty fast. Last week Mom weighed me and I was just almost 12lbs; she measured my length today and I am now 22 1/2 inches long. I'm growing into a big boy. Mommy just had to do a photo shoot today. It was beautiful outside so we went to the backyard so I could explore. That tree is amazing, I just could not take my eyes off it. Mom then decided to get Monkey. He held me in his lap and we hung out while Mom got some good pictures.

Rattle Rattle

Mom is always trying to put things in my hand, but I usually don't want anything to do with it. I decided to make her happy today. We were playing on the floor and once again she put this thing in my hand and I decided to grab ahold. I held on for a long time and guess what this thing made a rattle rattle sound. It was pretty fun. Next time Mom gives me something to hold I will pay attention.

Bath Time with Daddy

Well, Mommy has always given me baths but today Dad did. This was the first time for him and I think he did a pretty good job. I am just as clean and I smell just as good. Good Job Daddy!!!

Wow, 8 weeks old today (February 20th) - I am getting pretty good at this picture thing. Here I am looking straight into the camera with the perfect smile. Mommy and Daddy say I am the cutest thing ever made; I'm pretty sure I agree!

Mom and Dad sure love to take pictures. I am just laying in my crib minding my own business and they decide to take lots and lots of pictures. They ended up with several pictures that look pretty much all the same!

My First Smile

I think I learned to smile today, January 31. I never knew it would make Mommy so happy and excited. She of course went crazy and had to get the camera to capture the moment. I did not know Mommy was so silly. I just had to keep smiling, she was making some funny faces! By the way, Daddy is pretty silly too, when he got home I had to smile again because here came the funny faces!

Well, I am 1 month old today, January 26th. I kept Mommy busy. I like to change clothes alot. It was snowing this morning so Mom put the fuzzy white outfit on me, but I got way too hot! We changed clothes, but that set of clothes did not last long, my diaper overflowed. By the end of the day I was in my third set of clothes and I was pretty exhausted. It was a hard days work!

My first month I sure do love to sleep. I can sleep anywhere and in any position. In my cradle, on the floor, on the couch, on my side, on my back, or on my stomach. It really doesn't matter to me, I am just too tired to really care!

PKU Test

I've been in this world for 2 weeks and I have to go get a PKU Test. Guess what, I showed that nurse that I am a big boy! She told Daddy to make sure and hold on to my legs because I was going to kick and cry. I was sleeping before she pricked my heel and when she did her thing I woke up with a soft Huhh and then fell right back to sleep. I showed her, I don't cry, I am tough.

I am 6 days old and Aunt Julie wants to do a photo shoot. I hear she is pretty good with the camera. We had lots of fun taking these pictures at Granny's house.

I got pretty hungry while we were taking pictures so I thought I would see if I could get some food out of Daddy's nose. I would have to say, that did not taste very good!

My Birthday

It is my special day and Mommy and Daddy just found out that I am a boy! I entered this amazing world on December 26, 2008 at 8:21pm. I weighed 7lbs 10.8oz and I was 19 3/4inches long. My parents were so excited to meet me. They told me that God had blessed them with the perfect baby boy.
